Stiftung Schloss Kapfenburg in Lauchheim

So beautiful ?.

I would like to see Kapfenburg again in its current state - everything looks very inviting. My mother was born 100 years ago in Hülen and my memory of this beautiful area is now 35 years old. It's great that old buildings are being preserved and maintained.

Very tasty and very pleasant location

It is very nice and the staff in the kitchen are very nice. Unfortunately the key manager was very rude to me and us for no reason. The building where I wanted to practice after lunch was closed because the conductor told him to stop. I called after dinner and asked if it would be possible to open the building. The woman told me that I had to wait half an hour because they had his lunch break. Then I was there half an hour later, but no one came. Then I called again. The key manager came very quickly by car and was very mad at me. He said I should have the key from the building, but I only had the key from the hall. Then he unfriendly opened the building. He said "that doesn't work" "I've never experienced anything like that" and just gave me all his anger. I said thank you anyway, but he didn't answer anything and then he left. I just think it's a shame that he doesn't want to do his only simple job. I met him again afterwards he never said hello. He just doesn't feel like people or a job. And this relationship damages the beautiful picture of the castle and staff.

Great spacious castle. Refurbished. With a restaurant and much more.

We went here for a confirmation dinner on September 19, 2020. Here we asked in advance about intolerances and allergies and the food was adjusted accordingly. Food was delicious, from soup and salad to meat (super tender and juicy) and fish. The side dishes were also delicious every time. Whether risotto or rösti, just great! The service was second to none! It was our first time eating here and will be back.

Was in the chapel for a baptism only 17 years ago. Didn't see that much of the castle.

Kapfenburg Castle in the countryside of southern Germany, 100 km from Stuttgart Airport, is a castle that currently houses a music school, a restaurant, an events hall, conferences, a hostel and open-air music festivals are held . Everything is very clean and well organized. Parking is small. About 300 meters away, there is another outdoor parking lot. I've been here at company seminars, at the restaurant and at an outdoor music event in the summer. (last update 2020_09_29)

Very nice ambience, wonderful food and ideal for a rehearsal weekend.

Nice facility with great rehearsal rooms and a good concert hall. The rooms are simple, but clean and functional. The choice of dishes can be fine-tuned, as it is very noodle-heavy (and I mean pasta and not spaetzle). The beverage supply works well. The staff are on the whole friendly and helpful. All in all a great place to rehearse for a week.

Great location, very well maintained. However, a fair bit of work for non-electrified cyclists to get there. The "old climb" is easy to push.

The Kapfenburg is located between Lauchheim and Hülen. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking and is also a wonderful destination for families with small children.

Was only here for a short time to take pictures, a castle that is really worth seeing, even from the outside. In fact, the toilet at the entrance to the right was open, very clean, free and recommended. Will definitely come back to see the inside later.

Nice scenery

DO NOT attend events at this place! No seating, excessive security and restrictions. Cannot even bring in a bottle of water. Instead they overcharge and profiteer on everything they can. Events are way overpriced for the performances and facilities. Maybe Germany has low standards but if you are a tourist you will be very dissappojnted. There are much better castles and events in the area. Consider those first. You have been warned, do not attend events at this place.

Castle garden dreams The event was a very nice activity in the best weather. A lot of good and high quality exhibitors. There is a star deduction for the relatively high entry price and the disposable coffee mug. Here I would have preferred to pay a deposit and have received porcelain tableware.

We were here for the culinary tour of the castle, absolutely recommendable. A beautiful castle, partly renovated, which is why the atmosphere is not very medieval, but the tour was absolutely great. In addition, very good food, live music from the lord of the castle personally, exclusive insights into otherwise closed areas, everything was really there.

Nice castle...not too much to see!

Always having a great experience here, the staff is very nice and generous, rooms are pretty clean as well as the ones designated to rehearsal. Only three stars because of the somewhat ok food there, some meals are fine whereas others ar neither visually alpealing nor does it taste great. Maybe its not the staffs fault but it has been like this the last few years that i have been there. Overall still an incredible time there.

The International Music School Academy is located at Schloss Kapfenburg. There are very good rehearsal facilities and rooms. There is also a restaurant where you can eat well. A team entertains the guests and you can also stay overnight, which enables rehearsals to last several days. From Kapfenburg Castle you also have a wide view of the surrounding area.

Festival Schloss Kapfenburg. For me at least 2 events every summer. Often lucky with the weather ... The events / concerts were always great in their own way! Last year: Oerding and Alan Parsons Project experienced ...

Nice castle. Great vista point and always worth the effort to climb up for a short stop to enjoy the scenery on a bike ride!
